Telecoms Network Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Telecoms Network Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their critical communication infrastructure in Sunderland . This role requires a leader capable of managing a team of network engineers and technicians, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the network. You will be responsible for incident management, problem resolution, and continuous service improvement within a vital operational hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of network operations engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
• Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for incident management, change control, and problem resolution.
• Ensure network uptime and performance meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts related to network operations.
• Develop and manage the network operations budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in network operations management, with a strong background in the telecoms industry.
• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams.
• In-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools, fault diagnosis, and performance tuning techniques.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies relevant to telecommunications services.
