Telecoms Network Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Telecoms Network Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of their critical network infrastructure in Belfast . This hybrid role requires a strategic leader who can manage a team of network operations specialists, ensuring the continuous availability, performance, and security of the network. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, managing incident response, and driving efficiency improvements across the network operations center (NOC). This is a key leadership position, vital for maintaining the high standards of service our client provides.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of network operations engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company's telecommunications network.
• Develop and implement robust incident management processes to minimize service disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for network services and equipment.
• Analyze network performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecom network operations , with at least 2 years in a management or team lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software, including routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and NMS platforms.
• Proven ability to manage complex operational environments and lead teams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
