About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Telecoms Network Operations Manager to oversee their operational infrastructure in Stoke-on-Trent . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day performance, availability, and reliability of the company's telecommunications network. You will lead a team of operations specialists, manage incident response, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network stability and efficiency. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in network operations management and a deep understanding of operational best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Network Operations Centre (NOC) team, ensuring efficient incident management and resolution.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues, implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and execute strategies for network capacity planning and optimization.
- Oversee the maintenance schedule for network equipment and infrastructure.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors.
- Implement and refine operational processes and procedures to improve service delivery and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecoms network operations , with at least 3 years in a management role.
- In-depth knowledge of network monitoring tools, fault management systems, and ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and telecommunications technologies.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices is highly desirable.
