Telecoms Network Operations Specialist

About the Role

Our client seeks a meticulous Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their operational support team, operating on a hybrid basis from their Bradford, West Yorkshire office. This role is essential for the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of our client's vital telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring network stability, responding to incidents, and implementing proactive measures to prevent service disruptions. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using advanced NMS (Network Management System) tools.
• Respond promptly and effectively to network incidents and alarms, performing initial diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Implement routine network changes and configurations following established procedures.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams, ensuring clear communication.
• Maintain accurate records of network events, actions taken, and resolutions in the incident management system.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures and documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a network operations or technical support role within the telecoms or IT industry.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG) and ticketing systems.
• Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP , DNS, and DHCP.
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as part of a rota.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
