About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically adept Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their Network Operations Centre (NOC) team in Bradford . This critical role involves the continuous monitoring, management, and optimization of our client's extensive telecommunications network infrastructure. You will play a key part in ensuring network stability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize service disruption, and contributing to the overall reliability of our telecoms services. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated Network Management Systems (NMS) and tools.
• Respond promptly to network alarms and incidents, performing initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate engineering teams, providing detailed information and impact assessment.
• Implement routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates and configuration changes, following change management procedures.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with customer support teams to ensure effective communication regarding network status and planned maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or similar network support role within the telecoms industry .
• Proficiency in monitoring network performance and troubleshooting common network issues.
• Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and routing concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for effective NOC operations in Bradford .
