About the Role

Our client is recruiting a vigilant Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their network operations centre (NOC) team in Sunderland . This role is crucial for the day-to-day monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of our client's telecommunications network. You will be at the forefront of ensuring network stability and service continuity, responding promptly to alerts and resolving incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor network performance and availability using specialised NOC tools.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and alerts in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform routine network maintenance tasks and system health checks.
• Document network events, actions taken, and resolutions accurately.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or similar technical support role.
• Understanding of networking principles, protocols, and equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work shifts and handle pressure in a demanding operational environment in Sunderland .
