About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their team in Sheffield . This role is crucial for the day-to-day monitoring, management, and maintenance of the telecommunications network, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. You will be responsible for responding to network alerts, troubleshooting incidents, and implementing preventative maintenance measures. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and health using various monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Respond promptly to network alerts and incidents, performing initial diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Execute network changes and configuration updates according to approved procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the stability and security of network infrastructure.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and incident resolution steps.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications, IT, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in network operations or a similar technical support role within the telecommunications industry.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and concepts.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup in Sheffield .
