About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Telecoms Network Planner to join their strategic planning division in Milton Keynes . This role is essential for forecasting future network needs, designing network expansion strategies, and ensuring that our client's infrastructure can support growing demands for bandwidth and connectivity. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to translate business objectives into actionable network development plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of telecommunications network architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term and short-term network plans, considering capacity, performance, and technology evolution.
• Analyze network traffic patterns and forecast future demand for services across different regions.
• Design network topologies and select appropriate technologies to meet projected requirements and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate new network equipment and solutions for potential deployment.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on network development strategies for senior management.
• Identify areas for network optimization and cost reduction through strategic planning.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in telecoms network planning or a related engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of network architectures, including SD-WAN, MPLS, and optical networks.
• Proficiency in network planning tools and simulation software.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to interpret complex technical data and translate it into strategic recommendations.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
