Telecoms Network Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Telecoms Network Planner to join their strategic planning team in Southampton . This role is responsible for developing long-term capacity plans and network expansion strategies to meet future demands for telecommunications services. You will analyze network traffic data, forecast growth trends, and identify opportunities for infrastructure development to ensure our client's network remains robust, scalable, and efficient. This position requires a strong analytical mind and a deep understanding of telecommunications network evolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term capacity and expansion plans for the company's telecommunications network.
• Analyze network usage data, traffic patterns, and customer growth forecasts to predict future capacity needs.
• Identify potential network bottlenecks and propose solutions for network optimization and upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to translate plans into actionable deployment strategies.
• Evaluate new technologies and their potential impact on network planning and design.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on network performance, capacity forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related quantitative field.
• 3-5 years of experience in network planning, capacity management, or a related role within the telecoms industry .
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and trends.
• Familiarity with network planning tools and simulation software.
• Good understanding of current and future telecommunications technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
