About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Telecoms Network Planner to join their team in Belfast . This role is crucial for the strategic development and expansion of the company's telecommunications network, ensuring it meets current and future demands for high-speed connectivity. You will be responsible for the detailed planning and design of network routes, infrastructure requirements, and capacity forecasting across Northern Ireland. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed network plans and designs for new telecoms infrastructure deployments, including fibre and wireless solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to identify optimal locations for network equipment and routes in and around Belfast .
- Analyse network traffic data and forecast future capacity requirements to ensure network scalability.
- Liaise with local authorities, landowners, and external stakeholders to secure necessary permits and access rights.
- Prepare technical documentation, including network diagrams, cost estimates, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure plans are implemented accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecoms network planning or design, preferably within a network operator environment.
- Strong understanding of network technologies, including fibre optics, copper, and wireless transmission.
- Proficiency with GIS software and network planning tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
