Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), and VPNs.
• Monitor network security systems for threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate security into network design and operations.
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies in the telecommunications industry .
• Provide security awareness training to IT staff and end-users.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar cybersecurity role.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with security hardware and software, such as firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, SIEM systems.
• Proficiency in analyzing security logs and responding to security incidents.
• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security-related technologies.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly valued.
