Telecoms Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Telecoms Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in and around Sunderland . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, from initial planning and scoping through to execution, monitoring, and closure. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of managing budgets, timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations within the fast-paced telecoms industry. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, driving successful outcomes for key network development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of telecoms infrastructure projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Coordinate and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and external contractors, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project timelines.
• Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones to senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven track record in project management, with at least 5 years managing projects in the telecoms sector , preferably infrastructure-related.
• Demonstrated experience in all phases of the project management lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications networks , infrastructure deployment, and related technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
• Prince2, PMP, or similar project management certification is highly advantageous.
