Telecoms Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and organized Telecoms Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex telecommunications projects in the Sunderland area. This role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. This hybrid position offers a blend of on-site engagement and remote flexibility, fostering collaboration and efficient project execution within a progressive telecommunications company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status, progress, and key metrics to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Project Manager, preferably within the telecoms or IT infrastructure sector.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience and qualifications.
