Telecoms Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Telecoms Solutions Architect to lead the design and development of innovative solutions from their Newcastle upon Tyne office. You will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into technical strategies, defining the architecture for new services and systems within the telecoms sector . This position requires a deep understanding of current and emerging telecom technologies, coupled with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's technology offerings and driving strategic technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end technical solutions for new and existing telecoms services , ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors to meet project requirements.
• Develop detailed technical designs, blueprints, and implementation plans for complex network and IT systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and sales teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to deployment and support.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the telecommunications space.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in designing and implementing complex telecoms solutions .
• In-depth knowledge of mobile (4G/5G), fixed-line, IP networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to architect solutions involving OSS/BSS, network virtualization (NFV/SDN), and data analytics.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in a telecoms context.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with solution design methodologies and tools.
