Telecoms Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and strategic Telecoms Solutions Architect to lead the design and evolution of their core network services in Birmingham . You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and cost-effective technical solutions across the telecommunications landscape. This role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging telecom technologies, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Be a key player in defining the future of our client's service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end solutions for new and existing telecommunications services, covering mobile, fixed-line, and converged offerings.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and operations teams to define service requirements and technical roadmaps.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendors to enhance service capabilities and competitive positioning.
• Develop detailed technical designs, including network topology, equipment specifications, and integration strategies.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and proof-of-concept evaluations for new solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the design and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in designing and architecting complex telecommunications systems.
• Expertise in areas such as 5G, LTE, VoLTE, SDN/NFV, cloud-native network functions, and optical networking.
• Strong understanding of service provider network architectures and operational challenges.
• Proven ability to create compelling technical documentation and presentations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
