About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Telecoms Systems Administrator to join their IT and network infrastructure team in Belfast . This role is vital for the day-to-day management and maintenance of critical telecommunications systems and supporting infrastructure. You will ensure the optimal performance, security, and availability of these systems, responding to incidents and managing system upgrades. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications systems , including PBX, VoIP, and mobile infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various telecom platforms.
• Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and incident logs for audit and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, and unified communications platforms.
• Experience with network hardware, servers, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles relevant to telecom systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
