About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient and reliable Telecoms Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their critical telecommunications infrastructure in Oxford . This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of voice, data, and unified communication systems. You will perform regular maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement system upgrades to support business operations. This is a key position for ensuring robust and efficient communication services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain telecom systems , including PBX, VoIP, video conferencing, and unified communications platforms.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and system access control to ensure security.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Install and configure new hardware and software components for the telecom infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on telecommunications systems.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323), PBX systems, and unified communications technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Good understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
