Technical Works Coordinator (TWC) – Civil Engineering

Contract | Hybrid Working | London

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Works Coordinator (TWC) to support the delivery of major rail and London Underground projects across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Civil Engineer with experience in design coordination and technical/design assurance to work on complex infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary environment.

The Role

As a Technical Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating technical activities and supporting the assurance of civil engineering design throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with designers, contractors, engineers and project teams to ensure designs are technically compliant, properly coordinated and ready for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil engineering design and technical activities across major rail and London Underground projects.
• Review and coordinate design packages, technical submissions, calculations and engineering documentation.
• Support and manage design and technical assurance activities, ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals are completed.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between design teams, contractors and other project disciplines.
• Identify and manage design risks, technical issues and engineering interfaces.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and assurance workshops.
• Provide technical input and challenge to ensure designs are robust, practical and suitable for construction.
• Support the resolution of technical queries and design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain appropriate technical records and assurance documentation.

Essential Experience

• Civil Engineering qualification at HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent level.
• Previous experience working on rail and/or London Underground projects.
• Strong background in civil engineering design and design coordination.
• Proven experience in design assurance, technical assurance or engineering assurance. xwwtmva
