Trade Counter Assistant

Location: Denton, Manchester Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Start Date: ASAP

We’re looking for a reliable and customer-focused Trade Counter & Stock Assistant to join a busy plumbing merchants in Denton.

This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, keeping stock organised and helping ensure the day-to-day running of the trade counter is smooth and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and assisting them at the trade counter

• Answering customer queries and helping identify the products they need

• Checking deliveries and ensuring stock levels are accurate

• Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse

• Picking and preparing orders for customers

• Keeping the trade counter and stock areas clean, tidy and organised

• Supporting the wider team with general duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a trade counter, stockroom, warehouse or customer service role would be beneficial

• Plumbing or building materials knowledge would be an advantage

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
