Trade Marketing Manager - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Trade Marketing Manager to join their team in Portsmouth , focusing on the FMCG market. This role will be responsible for developing and executing in-store marketing strategies, promotional plans, and merchandising initiatives to drive brand visibility and sales performance at the point of purchase. You will work closely with sales, brand, and external agencies to ensure impactful campaigns that resonate with consumers and retailers alike. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the in-store experience for leading FMCG brands in the Hampshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective trade marketing strategies and promotional plans for key retail partners.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify and support retail execution needs and opportunities.
• Manage the design and production of in-store Point of Sale (POS) materials and promotional assets.
• Analyse trade spend effectiveness and ROI, making recommendations for optimisation.
• Conduct regular store visits and competitor analysis to gather insights and ensure brand visibility standards are met.
• Work with brand teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and campaign execution across all trade channels.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Trade Marketing or a related field, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of retail channels, shopper behaviour, and in-store marketing principles.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in data analysis and budget management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
