About the Role
Our client, a leading force in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Trade Marketing Manager to operate from their Southampton office. This role is crucial in developing and executing in-store and channel marketing strategies that drive sales and enhance brand visibility at the point of purchase. You will work closely with the sales and brand teams to translate marketing objectives into effective trade programs, ensuring maximum impact at retail. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives.
- Create compelling in-store promotions, merchandising solutions, and point-of-sale materials.
- Analyze trade spend effectiveness and ROI, optimizing investments for maximum impact.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective execution of trade plans in retail environments.
- Manage relationships with external agencies for creative development and production.
- Monitor competitor trade activities and identify best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Trade Marketing or a related field within the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of retail environments and shopper behaviour.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective trade programs.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience in managing budgets.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, ideally with experience supporting the Southampton area retail network.
