About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and creative Trade Marketing Manager to join their vibrant team in Southampton . This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between brand strategy and in-store execution for their diverse FMCG product range. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective trade marketing plans that drive sales, enhance brand visibility, and support promotional activities within retail environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the retail landscape and a passion for creating impactful in-store experiences that resonate with consumers and achieve commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated trade marketing strategies and plans aligned with brand objectives and sales targets for the FMCG portfolio .
- Collaborate with the brand marketing and sales teams to create compelling in-store promotions, POS materials, and merchandising solutions.
- Analyze trade spend effectiveness and ROI, optimizing investment across various retail channels to maximize impact.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers for the production of marketing materials and execution of in-store programs.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in trade marketing initiatives.
- Present trade marketing plans and performance updates to internal stakeholders, including sales and senior management teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Brand Management, or Sales within the FMCG sector .
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful in-store marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics, category management principles, and shopper behaviour.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.
- Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
