About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially astute Trade Marketing Manager to join their dynamic FMCG team in Brighton . This crucial role focuses on developing and executing in-store marketing strategies and promotional plans that drive brand visibility, product sales, and retailer engagement across various trade channels. You will work closely with sales, brand management, and external agencies to ensure our client's brands stand out at the point of purchase and meet the commercial objectives of both the company and its retail partners. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective trade marketing strategies aligned with overall brand and commercial objectives.
- Create and manage in-store promotional programs, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising plans.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support their efforts in achieving distribution and sales targets.
- Analyse trade spend effectiveness and provide recommendations for optimisation.
- Build strong relationships with key retail partners to understand their needs and opportunities for joint commercial initiatives.
- Monitor competitor trade activities and market trends to identify best practices and competitive advantages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or sales within the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful in-store marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Strong understanding of the retail environment and the dynamics of the FMCG market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing office-based planning with field-based retailer engagement.
