About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Trade Marketing Manager to join their commercial team in Sheffield . This role is pivotal in developing and executing effective trade marketing strategies that drive sales performance and strengthen brand presence within retail channels for their FMCG products. You will work closely with sales, brand, and retailer teams to create compelling in-store activations and promotional programs. This on-site position offers a dynamic environment where you can directly impact commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans aligned with brand objectives and sales strategies.
- Collaborate with sales teams to create effective promotional programs and in-store activation plans for key retail partners.
- Analyse sales data, category performance, and shopper insights to identify opportunities and recommend adjustments to trade strategies.
- Manage the trade marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Develop and produce point-of-sale (POS) materials and merchandising guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, presenting marketing plans and performance reviews.
Requirements
- Proven experience in trade marketing or a related commercial role, ideally within the FMCG sector .
- Strong understanding of retail environments, shopper behaviour, and the principles of trade promotion.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful in-store marketing campaigns.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
