Our client is seeking a skilled Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee their transportation activities from their hub in Bristol . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of goods across the network. You will manage a team of drivers and logistics staff, coordinate daily operations, and work to optimize transport schedules and resource allocation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in transport management and is adept at problem-solving in a fast-paced logistical environment, working a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the transport department, including driver scheduling and dispatch.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are made on time and in accordance with company standards.
• Monitor driver performance and adherence to traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain fleet records, including maintenance schedules and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with warehouse teams, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures within the transport operation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transport operations management or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport regulations and logistics best practices.
