Salary: £30000 - £32000

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 07:30 - 16:30

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery Optimize transportation processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and performance metrics Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to address any issues or concerns Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in transportation planning Maintaining a professional attitude when liaising with customers Planner to be on call when not in the office. Investigations with drivers. When doing sameday desk deal with incoming emails regarding POD's, updating customer portals with times and POD's. Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices Strong knowledge of the UK road networks Proficient in using transportation management software and systems Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
