About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Treasury Analyst to join their finance team in Nottingham . This role is responsible for supporting the treasury function, which includes managing the company's liquidity, cash flow, debt, and foreign exchange exposures. You will assist in optimizing cash management strategies, executing funding transactions, and ensuring compliance with treasury policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of treasury operations, financial markets, and risk management within the banking and finance sector , contributing to the financial stability and efficiency of our operations in Nottingham .
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Assist in the execution of short-term borrowing and investment activities.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and analyze variances, identifying potential liquidity issues.
- Support the management of foreign exchange exposures and hedging strategies.
- Maintain accurate treasury records and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Assist in the preparation of treasury reports for senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a treasury, corporate finance, or banking role.
- Familiarity with treasury operations, cash management systems, and financial instruments.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
