You will conduct research, develop innovative solutions, and provide expert consultation on surface interactions, aiming to reduce energy loss and prevent material degradation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and development into friction, wear, and lubrication phenomena.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of materials, lubricants, and surface treatments under various conditions.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques and tribometers to characterize surface interactions.
- Develop novel solutions to minimize friction and wear in mechanical systems.
- Provide expert technical guidance on material selection, surface engineering, and lubrication strategies.
- Collaborate with mechanical designers and manufacturing engineers to implement tribological solutions.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Materials Science, or a related discipline with a specialization in Tribology.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in tribology research and application .
- Proficiency with various tribological testing equipment and analysis methods.
- Strong understanding of surface physics, chemistry, and contact mechanics.
- Experience with lubricants, coatings, and surface modification techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate research findings into practical engineering solutions.
