Trusts & Foundation Manager

Are you an experienced Trusts & Foundations fundraiser who enjoys building relationships, developing strong funding proposals and finding new opportunities?

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established charity where your work will have a very tangible impact on children, young people and their families.

As Trusts & Foundations Manager, you’ll manage and develop an existing portfolio of funders whilst also identifying new prospects and building a strong pipeline for the future. You’ll have the opportunity to build genuine relationships with funders, rather than the role being purely focused on writing applications.

The role

Working closely with the wider fundraising team and colleagues across the organisation, you will:

• Manage and develop relationships with existing Trusts and Foundations

• Research and identify new funding opportunities

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective funders

• Write engaging and persuasive funding applications and proposals

• Develop tailored approaches to funder engagement

• Work with colleagues to gather budgets, outcomes and impact information

• Provide high-quality stewardship and reporting

• Demonstrate clearly the difference funders' support has made

• Help develop longer-term funding relationships and sustainable income

The role combines relationship building, trust fundraising, prospect development and high-quality written applications, with plenty of opportunity to develop new relationships and ideas.

About you

We’re looking for someone who already has experience within Trusts and Foundations fundraising and understands the full journey from identifying and cultivating a prospect through to securing funding and ongoing stewardship.

You’ll be a confident relationship builder with strong written communication skills and the ability to turn information into compelling funding applications and cases for support.

You’ll also need to be organised and comfortable managing several applications, reports and deadlines at the same time.

Just as importantly, you’ll be proactive, collaborative and someone who enjoys spotting opportunities and developing relationships.

Why consider this role?

This isn't simply about submitting applications. It's an opportunity to grow an established portfolio, develop new funder relationships and play an important part in increasing sustainable income for the future.

If you're looking for a Trusts & Foundations role where you can build relationships, develop new opportunities and see the direct impact of the funding you secure, we'd love to hear from you.
