Unqualified Teaching Assistants - Stoke-on-Trent

Unqualified Teaching Assistants - Stoke-on-Trent Aspire People | North Staffordshire

Hi, I'm Ethan, the North Staffordshire SEN Consultant at Aspire People, and I'm currently looking for passionate, caring and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist schools in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.

Are you looking to start a career in education? Do you have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs? You don't necessarily need formal qualifications or extensive experience - the right attitude, patience and willingness to learn can make all the difference!

What will you be doing? As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, helping them feel safe, included and confident in their learning.

The schools I work with support pupils with a range of needs, including:

Autism (ASC): Supporting communication, social interaction, routines and sensory needs. ADHD: Helping pupils stay focused, manage emotions and engage with learning. SEMH: Supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs, including emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Speech and Language Needs: Helping pupils develop communication skills and understand instructions. Learning Difficulties: Providing tailored support to help pupils access lessons and develop independence. PMLD and Complex Needs: Supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, including personalised learning and personal care where required. Physical Disabilities and Sensory Needs: Helping pupils access classroom activities and participate in school life. Every school and pupil is different, so you'll have the opportunity to gain experience in a range of specialist settings while making a real difference to young people's lives.

What am I looking for? I'm keen to speak with people who are:

Patient, caring and enthusiastic. Resilient and adaptable. Passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Happy to learn and take guidance from experienced staff. Reliable and committed to making a positive impact. Previous experience is beneficial but not always essential. Whether you have worked with children before, have experience supporting individuals with additional needs, or are looking to get your foot in the door within education, I'd love to hear from you.

Why work with Aspire People? Opportunities across specialist schools in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. Valuable experience in specialist educational settings. Support throughout your journey into education. Opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge. The chance to make a genuine difference every single day. Interested? If you're looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same, get in touch with me, Ethan, at Aspire People, to discuss the opportunities available.
