Urban Design Architect

About the Role

Our client is a leading consultancy seeking a passionate Urban Design Architect to contribute to transformative regeneration projects in Bristol and the surrounding regions. This role focuses on shaping the physical and social fabric of urban environments, developing masterplans, and creating high-quality public realm strategies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of planners, landscape architects, and engineers to deliver sustainable and vibrant urban spaces. Key Responsibilities

• Develop masterplans and strategic design frameworks for urban regeneration schemes.
• Create detailed urban design proposals, including streetscape design and public realm strategies.
• Engage with stakeholders, local authorities, and community groups to build consensus.
• Assess site potential and feasibility for new developments.
• Prepare design documentation, presentations, and reports for planning applications and public consultation.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Architecture or Urban Design.
• Demonstrated experience in urban design, master planning, or regeneration projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD , SketchUp , and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, sustainability, and placemaking.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
