About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Urban Design Architect to contribute to significant regeneration and development projects in Bristol . This role focuses on the design and planning of cohesive, sustainable, and vibrant urban environments. You will work at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and planning, developing masterplans, design codes, and public realm strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative masterplans and urban design frameworks for new developments and regeneration schemes.
• Create design guidelines, character appraisals, and public realm strategies to ensure high-quality urban environments.
• Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, planners, and engineers to deliver integrated urban design solutions.
• Engage with community groups, stakeholders, and local authorities to gather input and build consensus.
• Prepare compelling visualisations, presentations, and design reports to communicate urban design concepts effectively.
• Ensure designs respond to context, promoting sustainability, accessibility, and social inclusivity in Bristol .

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Architecture or Urban Design.
• Significant experience in urban design, masterplanning, or related fields.
• Proficiency in urban design software, including GIS, CAD, and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of planning policy, regeneration drivers, and sustainable urban development principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
