About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and insightful UX Researcher to join their product development team in Portsmouth . In this role, you will be instrumental in understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations through rigorous research methodologies. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure our digital products are intuitive, effective, and meet the evolving expectations of our users. This position is based in our Portsmouth office, offering a collaborative environment where user advocacy is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct a variety of user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
- Analyze research data to identify key user insights, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product design and strategy.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts that communicate user insights.
- Present research findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Researcher or User Researcher, with a portfolio showcasing research projects and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Proficiency in research tools such as UserTesting.com, survey platforms, and analytics software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate insights effectively.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
