About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to cover routes within Derby City and the wider County area. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role involves managing your own schedule for daily routes, maintaining the vehicle, and interacting directly with clients. Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily delivery and collection schedules throughout Derby and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care and secured properly.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using navigation aids.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary customer signatures.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Provide polite and professional service to all customers encountered.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving license (Category B) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role.
• Good knowledge of the Derby and Derbyshire road network.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
