Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist - Film & Animation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and imaginative Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh . This role is pivotal in bringing creative visions to life for a range of projects within the Film & Animation sector of Arts & Entertainment . You will be responsible for editing raw footage, creating captivating motion graphics, and contributing to the overall visual storytelling of our client's diverse productions. This hybrid position offers a balance of collaborative studio work and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute your talents effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging final products, ensuring seamless narrative flow and technical quality.
• Design and animate motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and visual effects to enhance video content.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and other creative team members to understand project vision and deliver according to specifications.
• Source and manage stock footage, music, and sound effects where necessary.
• Ensure all edited projects meet required specifications for various platforms, including broadcast, web, and social media.
• Stay current with industry trends in video editing, motion graphics, and animation software and techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor and Motion Graphics Artist , with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work in film, animation, or related fields .
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and motion graphics software like Adobe After Effects.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition.
• Experience with color correction, audio mixing, and video compression techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a creative environment.
• Familiarity with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus.
