Job Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced VMC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our clients manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist who is confident setting and operating Brother twin-pallet machining centres and working with Fanuc G-code.
The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating our VMC machines, producing high-quality components to drawing and specification.
We have 99% of the required CNC programmes already in existence, so the role is primarily focused on efficient setting, operation, programme selection and making adjustments where necessary.
Our Brother machines use Fanuc G-code, so a good understanding of Fanuc controls and CNC machining principles is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating Brother twin-pallet VMC machining centres
- Selecting and running existing CNC programmes
- Making programme edits and offset adjustments where required
- Working with Fanuc G-code
- Setting tools, workholding and offsets
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out in-process inspection and quality checks
- Identifying and resolving machining issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Working efficiently to production requirements and deadlines

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a VMC Programmer / Setter / Operator
- Experience with Brother machining centres, ideally twin-pallet machines
- Good knowledge of Fanuc G-code
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds, offsets and workholding
- The ability to make programme adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues
- A strong eye for quality and attention to detail
- A reliable, conscientious approach to work
- The ability to work independently
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
No night shifts or weekend working.
