Our client, a dynamic charitable organization in Leeds , is seeking a passionate and proactive Volunteer Coordinator to join their dedicated team. This role is central to the organization's ability to deliver its vital services, as you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a diverse team of volunteers. You will foster a positive and supportive environment, ensuring our volunteers feel valued and motivated. Working across both in-office and remote capacities, you will engage with individuals from various backgrounds, matching their skills and interests to our various projects. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting new volunteers across different programs.
- Screen, interview, and onboard new volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
- Provide ongoing support, supervision, and recognition to the volunteer team.
- Organize and facilitate volunteer training sessions, both in-person and online.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, including hours, training, and feedback.
- Act as a liaison between volunteers and staff, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Previous experience in volunteer management, HR, or a related people-focused role.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in recruitment and selection processes.
- Proficiency in database management and standard office software.
