About the Role
Our client, a vibrant community arts charity, is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, and manage their team of volunteers in Oxford . This role is essential for supporting the delivery of the charity's extensive programme of events, workshops, and outreach activities. You will be the primary point of contact for volunteers, fostering a positive and engaging experience, ensuring they feel valued and are effectively deployed to help achieve the charity's mission of enriching the cultural landscape of Oxfordshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers, ensuring a positive induction experience.
- Develop and implement volunteer training programmes.
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and deployment for various events and ongoing activities.
- Act as the main point of contact for volunteers, providing support and guidance.
- Organise volunteer recognition events and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases.
- Promote volunteer opportunities within the local Oxford community.
Requirements
- Previous experience in volunteer management or coordination, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
