About the Role
Our client, a leading organisation in the Charity & Voluntary sector , is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to join their team in Belfast . This role is fundamental to the success of the organisation, ensuring a dedicated and well-supported team of volunteers is available to assist with various programs and events. You will be responsible for the recruitment, training, and ongoing management of volunteers, fostering a positive and rewarding experience for all involved. This position requires excellent people skills and a passion for supporting community initiatives, with a flexible working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit new volunteers, reaching diverse communities across Northern Ireland.
- Conduct volunteer inductions, training sessions, and ongoing support to ensure volunteers feel confident and valued.
- Match volunteer skills and interests with organisational needs and program requirements.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, including hours, assignments, and contact information.
- Organise and promote volunteer appreciation events and activities.
- Liaise with program managers to understand volunteer needs and provide timely support.
Requirements
- Previous experience in volunteer management or a related role within the Charity & Voluntary sector .
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for supporting community causes and a commitment to fostering a positive volunteer experience.
- Familiarity with the Belfast community is a plus.
