Warehouse Goods In/Out Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Salary: £34,000 per annum
Location: Wirksworth
Contract Type: Permanent
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Goods In/Out Manager to join a company based in Wirksworth on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional to take ownership of both inbound and outbound logistics operations within a busy manufacturing environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the site, supporting operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Goods In/Out Manager:
- Manage all Goods In and Goods Out activities, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of products.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records using MRP, ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Coordinate transport and daily dispatch schedules to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
- Lead, motivate and support warehouse personnel, ensuring workloads are effectively planned and managed.
- Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and workflow.
- Ensure high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and operational compliance are maintained at all times.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, delivery issues and operational challenges.
- Work closely with production, purchasing, customer service and senior management teams to support business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles where appropriate.
- Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) targets are consistently achieved and maintained.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a Goods In / Out Manager, Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager or similar supervisory/management role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, goods receipt and dispatch processes.
- Experience using MRP, ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Knowledge of transport planning and coordinating deliveries.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
- CPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
