Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities within their key distribution hub in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment while implementing best practices to meet operational targets and maintain high service levels for our client's customers. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a strong understanding of logistics and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving.
• Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
• Manage and mentor a team of warehouse associates, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and implement stock control measures.
• Collaborate with logistics partners and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar warehouse management or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control systems, and logistics principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
