Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of their distribution center in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves leading a dedicated team, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, maintaining high standards of safety and productivity, and contributing to the overall success of the logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a proven track record in managing teams and operational budgets within a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient warehouse strategies to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
• Maintain and improve warehouse operational standards through continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar senior logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory control systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and operational KPIs.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
