Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all logistics and warehousing activities in Aberdeen . You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient inventory management, and driving continuous improvement in operational processes. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch, directly impacting the company's supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction, working within a vital sector of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance inventory accuracy.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Manage relationships with external logistics providers and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage workflow.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior warehouse or logistics management role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management software and other relevant IT systems.
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
