About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our logistics and warehousing operations in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves managing inventory, optimizing storage, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the warehouse floor. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, improving processes, and leading a dedicated team to meet and exceed performance targets in a challenging and fast-paced environment, contributing significantly to the overall supply chain success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse strategies and operational plans to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Manage and oversee inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, minimizing stockouts, and reducing waste.
- Coordinate the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse premises.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar operational leadership role within the logistics sector.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse environments.
- Experience in process improvement and implementing lean warehousing methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
