About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations, accuracy, and safety. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the distribution process, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping goods in Edinburgh .
• Ensure accurate inventory management and conduct regular stocktakes.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing all health and safety regulations.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Train and mentor new warehouse operatives, ensuring they understand procedures and safety protocols.
• Implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse operations role, with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• A valid forklift operator license is advantageous.
