Warehouse Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities at their facility in Edinburgh . This is an on-site role where you will lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient and safe execution of all warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. You will play a critical role in optimizing workflow, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and fostering a productive and safe working environment for your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in cycle counting and stocktaking processes.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
• Train new team members on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or team leader in a busy distribution or logistics environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking technologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
