About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to manage and enhance the efficiency of their distribution hub in Cambridge . This role is central to overseeing daily warehouse activities, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring productivity targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to operational excellence. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage goods-in processes, including receiving, inspecting, and accurately recording stock.
- Oversee picking, packing, and dispatch operations to meet order fulfillment targets.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy.
- Train and develop warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Demonstrable knowledge of warehouse operations, including WMS, inventory management, and logistics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
