Warehouse Operative - FMCG

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is looking for a reliable and efficient Warehouse Operative to join their busy distribution center in Plymouth . This role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for handling stock, maintaining warehouse organization, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized working environment within a fast-paced logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and accurately check incoming goods against delivery notes.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet trucks, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse .
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management tasks.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a warehouse operative or in a similar logistics role.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, stock management, and order fulfillment processes.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting in Plymouth .
