Warehouse Operative - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking reliable and diligent Warehouse Operatives to join their busy logistics hub in Plymouth , supporting their extensive FMCG operations. You will be responsible for a range of essential warehouse duties, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods efficiently and accurately. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of products from our client's distribution center to retailers across the South West of England. Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against orders, and store goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct product and quantity.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and responsibly (training may be provided).
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in line with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous, preferably within FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of basic warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Located in or able to commute to Plymouth .
