Warehouse Operative (Picker/Packer)

About the Role

Our client is looking for dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operatives specializing in picking and packing to join their dynamic team in Nottingham . This essential role involves accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves, carefully packing them for shipment, and ensuring that orders are processed correctly and efficiently. You will be a key contributor to our ability to meet customer demand and maintain high standards of service, working in a fast-paced and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick orders from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
• Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring they are protected for transit.
• Verify order accuracy before dispatch, checking item codes and quantities.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Assist with receiving and putting away stock when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a physically demanding role.
• Basic reading and numerical skills for order fulfillment.
• Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethic.
